Max said his first little prayer tonight! Trey and I have the procedure that when we put Max in his crib, we kneel beside it and say a prayer that is short and quite the "toddler" style. Max will sometimes fold his arms and close his eyes, but other times, he just jumps and talks while we push through the prayer. He does, however, LOVE the part where we say "in the name of..." and he always says "Jesus Christ, Amen"! It's really been cute.
Well, tonight, Trey told Max that he could pray and daddy would tell him what to say. Max smiled sooo wide and folded his arms, waiting for further instructions...
Daddy: Dear Heavenly Father
Max: Deer Hebenlee Foder
Daddy: Thank you for Mommy.
Max: Kank koo for Mommy.
Daddy: Thank you for Daddy.
Max: Kank koo for Daddy.
Daddy: Thank you for Max.
Max: Kank koo for Max.
Daddy: In the name of Jesus Christ.
Max: Kank koo for Jesus Kw-eye-t.
Daddy: In the name of Jesus Christ. A...
Max: Men!
When we looked up at him, he was beeming from ear to ear and we all cheered!!
Man, I LOVE being a mom!!!
